This induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cell line, which serves as a model for Fragile X Syndrome (FXS), was created by reprogramming a FXS fibroblast line from a 7 year old male. The male was diagnosed with FXS; methylation mosaic. The cell line is a premutation clone that expresses normal to high levels of FMR1.
