This Beta2Microglobulin-targeted cell line is a modified version of Elf1. One allele is negative for B2M, the other expresses an HLA-E single-chain trimer which contains an additional (G4S)3 linker fused to a peptide derived from the signal sequence of HLA-G, a non-polymorphic peptide normally presented by HLA-E that inhibits NK cell-dependent lysis through its binding to CD94/NGK2A.
