Bryan Donner, Cytogenetics Technologist


Bryan is a cytogenetic technologist who works remotely from Rio Rancho NM. Bryan got his BA in biology from the University of Texas at Austin. In 1994, he attended the cytogenetic certification program at the University of Texas Health Science center in San Antonio, Texas.

 Bryan's career started at Genzyme Genetics in Santa Fe in 1996. At Genzyme, Bryan was a senior technologist for the amniotic fluid lab and later shifted to the fluorescent in-situ hybridization (FISH) lab. He then moved to Tricore reference labs in 2005. His experience covers the tissue culture, harvesting and analysis of blood, amniotic fluid and bone marrow specimens; and has also performed her2neu and FISH analysis. This includes Insight, microdeletions, structural abnormalities, sub-telomeres, and cancer FISH.

 Bryan is a stay-at-home dad who loves working from home as it allows him to spend more time with his family. His passions are kickboxing, road trips and cooking.  He appreciates the people at WiCell, saying: “They have such a positive attitude. It’s exciting to work for them.”
