Jenna Gay, Director of Quality Assurance

When Jenna joined WiCell in 2007 she worked in the lab as a Research Specialist performing banking and testing for the cell lines in the WiCell Stem Cell Bank and worked with the team to provide core services WiCell offers to UW.  After transitioning to the quality team in 2009 she worked with the QA team to maintain and improve WiCell’s quality system.  She has also worked within the equipment program, safety program, and the deposit process, which was developed to enable laboratories to easily deposit cell lines into the WiCell Stem Cell Bank. Today as the Director of Quality Assurance at WiCell she works closely with the leadership of the Cytogenetics and Stem Cell Bank groups and leads the QA team in overseeing the quality within the WiCell Stem Cell Bank and Characterization services offered by WiCell.  Together her team creates, implements, and maintains WiCell’s quality system and continually works to improve processes, products, and services.  Jenna graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Whitewater and holds multiple American Society for Quality certifications.  Outside of WiCell Jenna is very active in the Noonan Syndrome Foundation community.

In addition to Jenna's duties at WiCell she also serves on the UW Applied Biotechnology Program Advisory Board.
